yes, you are reading it the correct way.India who once faced a huge problem of treating malaria in the past which led it to produce "Hydroxychloroquine" and chloroquine tablets  at a very large amount is now supplying these drugs(medicines) to other countries.why?

It has been observed that in some cases 
Chloroquine and Hydroxychloroquine
have shown some fighting skills.






So what are they?.Let us see.
  1. ChloroquineChloroquine is an anti-malaria medicine that stops the growth of parasites in the red blood cells of the human body.It should not be consumed without doctors prescription as heavy dosage may lead to loss of vision, various heart, lungs, kidney diseases.
  2. Hydroxychloroquine: It also belong to the anti-malarial's section. It is also used to treat discoid or systematic lupus erythematosus . we can also use hydroxychloroquine  for rheumatoid arthritis in patients  where other treatments didn't show any improvements of their symptoms.Over dosage may also lead to hydroxychloroquine's adverse effects like  heart diseases,loss of vision,etc. And its side effects are like stomach ache, Diarrhea,etc.
 India is in the process of supplying anti-malarial drug hydroxychloroquine to 55 coronavirus-hit countries as grants as well as on commercial basis. Hydroxychloroquine has been identified by the US Food and Drug Administration as a possible treatment for the COVID-19 and it is being tested on more than 1,500 coronavirus patients till now.
I India is also supplying this drug to Afghanistan, Bhutan, Bangladesh Nepal, Maldives, Mauritius, Sri Lanka and Myanmar.

India lifted the ban on export of the drug , nearly two weeks after imposing a ban on its export. And India is determined to help itself and others in fighting this treacherous battle against the COVID-19 pandemic.
