So Today I bring to you some amazing and mind blowing facts about your own body! Humans are always considered to be superior to other mammals on the Earth and we mostly boast of it and try to dominate over other animals(which is why sometimes we end up in a situation like this, isn't it?).

But most of us don't know about what exactly our body is capable of. So lets dive into it!

• Human Brain is able to produce enough electricity to light up a low wattage bulb.              ⇛ Yes you read it right!The Human brain contains about 100 billion microscopic cells called neurons. And a single neuron can generate only a tiny amount of electricity, all your neurons together can generate enough electricity to power a 20 watt bulb. OoOo that is where lighting up a bulb when an idea comes came from!!    

• The Humans have a remnant of a part what we call The Third Eyelid.                                                        ⇛It's actually the remnant of a third eyelid known  as the plica semilunaris .It's more or less seen in  birds and some of the mammals and functions like a shield to keep dust and debris out of their eyes. But in humans, it doesn't work. It no longer serves its original purpose in humans. The pink colored part to the right is the third eyelid!!

• Facial Hair grows faster any other hair on our body.                                                                                          ⇛ Actually, the growth rate for hair on the scalp and beard are the same. Its approximately 1/2 of an inches per month. Other body hairs have a lower growth rate. The growth rate depends mainly on the hair follicle's life cycle.

• Humans can create up to 7000 facial expressions.                                                  ⇛ Facial expression covers a considerable amount of nonverbal communication. With 43 facial muscles, one can create more than 7,000 facial expressions. Humans can adopt a facial expression as a voluntary or involuntary action.

• Human Teeth are rougly tough as that of Sharks'.  ⇛ Scientists made the surprising discovery after comparing the micro-structure of human and shark teeth. They found that despite the teeth of the top ocean predator being coated with super-tough enamel, they are no stronger than the average human's. Sharks use their teeth to catch their prey and rip them apart and after that they swallow them. We, the humans use it to chew, grind our food to small pieces before swallowing. 

• The Resolution of human eye is approx. 500 Mega Pixels.                                                                          ⇛ According to scientist and photographer Dr. Roger Clark, the resolution of the human eye is 576 megapixels. That's huge when you compare it to the 12 megapixels of an iPhone 7's camera. It is way more than a 8K TV can offer. Enjoy the beauty of everything from a different perspective and to know the truth (that's why our eyes are provided for).It would have been awesome if you could have capture with your eyes what you have seen and later print it out! :)

• Human Bones completely regenerate itself every ten years!                                                                              ⇛ After the body's skeleton forms and grows to its adult size, it completely regenerates itself about every 10 years, through a process called remodeling. Remodeling removes old pieces of bone and replaces them with new, fresh bone.  Had it been both muscles and bones and had the process been more faster, everyone would have got healing power just like wolverine!!("Nature made me a freak"). 

• From the age of 30 humans start to shrink in size.(what??).                                                                                ⇛ According to some research. Men can gradually lose an inch between the ages of 30 to 70, and women can lose about two inches . 

•  The surface of our lungs is equal to a tennis court!!.                                                                                    ⇛ A human adult probably has about 300 million bronchi that could cover an area of around 180 square meter. A tennis court has an area of 195,63 square meter(YIKES!). Our lungs have such a large surface area because of the fact that in order to supply our bodies with oxygen, our air intake must have the speed of at least 160 liters per hour.  So next time you play tennis, don't forget you are dependent on your lungs.
